Elegant Mascarpone Topped Sugar Cookies (deceivingly Easy)

Ingredients

• 1 (12 ounce) package refrigerated sugar cookie dough (miniature cookie size)
• 8 ounces mascarpone cheese
• 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
• 10 strawberries

Recipe

• 1 prepare sugar cookies as directed on the package and cool.
• 2 mix mascarpone with confectioner's sugar.
• 3 place the cheese mixture in a pastry bag and pipe through a star tip onto the cookie.*.
• 4 remove stem from strawberry and slice in half.
• 5 place one half of a strawberry on each cookie. you can use a single raspberry or blackberry instead of strawberries if you prefer.
• 6 * you can carefully spoon the cheese mixture on the cookie if you don't have a pastry bag.
