Reuben Roll-ups

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese
- 1 cup flour
- 2 teaspoons caraway seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 -3 tablespoons cold water
- 1/4 cup thousand island dressing
- 2 (3 ounce) packages corned beef
- 1 cup grated swiss cheese
- 1/2 cup drained sauerkraut
Recipe
- 1 for pasrty: cut shortening, cream cheese, flour and caraway seeds together into crumbs or small clumps.
- 2 add salt and water.
- 3 form into dough.
- 4 roll dough into 2 rectangles of approximately 11x9 inches.
- 5 set aside.
- 6 for filling: spread salad dressing on pastry rectangles.
- 7 top with layers of corned beef, swiss cheese and sauerkraut.
- 8 fold in ends of dough.
- 9 roll up to jelly roll fashion.
- 10 seal the roll.
- 11 bake at 450 for 15 to 20 minutes.
- 12 slice the roll up into 1 inch slices.
- 13 may insert party toothpicks if desired.
- 14 arrange on serving tray or platter.
