Southern Peanut Butter Pie

Ingredients

- 1 cup light corn syrup or 1 cup dark corn syrup
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/3 cup chunky peanut butter
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
- 1 cup whipping cream
Recipe
- 1 combine first 5 ingredients, mixing until thoroughly blended. pour into prepared pastry shell. bake in hot oven (400 degrees) 15 minutes; reduce heat to moderate (350 degrees); bake 30 to 35 minutes longer. filling should appear slightly less set in center. chill. top with whipped cream.
