Southern Pecan Crisps

Total Time: 57 mins Preparation Time: 45 mins Cook Time: 12 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed for 30 minutes (half of a 17.3 oz. package)
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 400°.
  • 2 in a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, butter, and pecans.
  • 3 unfold pastry on a lightly floured surface; roll into a 15 x 12 inch rectangle; cut into twenty 3-inch squares.
  • 4 press squares into bottoms of 3-inch muffin pan cups.
  • 5 place 1 heaping teaspoon pecan mixture in center of each.
  • 6 bake 10-12 minutes or until golden.
  • 7 remove from pans; cool on wire rack; sprinkle with powdered sugar.
