Subtle Spice No Chill Shot Glass Sugar Cookies

Total Time: 23 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 8 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups margarine
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 cups sifted cake-and-pastry flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking soda
  • 3 dashes cinnamon
  • 2 dashes cloves
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Recipe

  • 1 -cream butter and sugar, making sure to scrape bottom for about 3 minutes.
  • 2 -add eggs and vanilla, mix.
  • 3 -combine dry ingredients.
  • 4 -sift dry ingredients, adding in batches to wet mixture.
  • 5 -no chilling required.
  • 6 -flour surface, roll out to about 1cm thickness, use the mouth of shot glass as cookie cutter.
  • 7 - (optional, but very recommended): in small shallow dish of sugar (or cinnamon/sugar mix) dip cookie face down, lightly coat.
  • 8 -bake on parchment for 6-7 mins, on 400.
  • 9 -cool on racks immediately.
