Onion Pie

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 25 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

• Servings: 8
• 2 cups thinly sliced onions
• 3 tablespoons bacon drippings
• 1 cup sour cream
• 3 eggs, slightly beaten
• salt and pepper
• 1 1/2 teaspoons chopped chives
• 1 9 in.baked pastry shell
• 1/2 teaspoon caraway seed
• 8 -10 slices fried crisp bacon, crumbled

Recipe

• 1 set oven to 325 degrees.
• 2 saute onions in drippings.
• 3 beat sour cream and eggs in mixing bowl.
• 4 add salt, pepper and chives.
• 5 mix in onions.
• 6 pour into pie shell.
• 7 sprinkle caraway seed on top.
• 8 bake for 35 minutes, or until done.
• 9 top with bacon.
• 10 let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
