Sausage Bites

Ingredients
- 1 box puff pastry
- 18 uncooked link sausage
- 1 egg
- splash milk
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 400.
- 2 thaw puff pastry on counter in box 15 to 20 minutes.
- 3 cook sausage in skillet until about half way done.
- 4 drain on paper towels.
- 5 cut puff pastry into thirds lengthwise following seams.
- 6 roll out slightly lengthwise.
- 7 place uncooked sausage links end to end on the long side of the strips near edge.
- 8 with pastry brush, brush a little water on the opposite edge from the sausage.
- 9 roll sausage in dough until the seam is down and seal.
- 10 cut sausage into 1 ½ inch pieces.
- 11 with scissors, snip a little"x" on each piece (this allows steam to escape and keep the pastry from getting soggy).
- 12 beat egg with a little milk a d brush this over pieces.
- 13 bake at 400.
- 14 check after 10 minutes without opening the oven.
- 15 cook until lightly brown.
- 16 another 5 minutes or so.
