Herbed Turkey Loaf

Ingredients

- 1 lb lean ground turkey
- 1 (10 ounce) package frozen spinach (thawed and drained.)
- 1 egg
- 1 1/8 ounces herb with garlic soup mix
- 1 (17 1/4 ounce) package puff pastry
Recipe
- 1 preheat your oven to 400'f.
- 2 combine the turkey, spinach and soup mix in a bowl. set aside.
- 3 on a lightly floured board, unfold 1 sheet of the thawed puff pastry (i use sarah lee). this is parve so i feel good about using it.
- 4 lay the pastry out with the with the fold lines on the pastry going vertically.
- 5 cut slits on each side of the pastry and mound the filling onto the pastry between the two fold marks.
- 6 starting at one end fold the pastry strips over the filling, alternating each side to cover.
- 7 place on an ungreased baking sheet. beat the egg and brush over the pastry.
- 8 bake for 30-35 minutes until the pastry is crispy and golden.
- 9 if you use an instant-read thermometer it should register 160'f when inserted through the center.
- 10 cool slightly, then slice and serve.
