Guava Cake With Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup whole wheat pastry flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup plus 2 tbsp butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup guava puree
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
- 1/4 cup butter (softened)
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees. grease an 8" springform pan with butter.
- 2 whip butter and sugar.
- 3 add eggs, vanilla, and guava puree, mixing well after each addition.
- 4 add dry ingredients and mix.
- 5 pour batter in pan and spread evenly.
- 6 bake for 25-35 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
- 7 to make frosting: whip all ingredients with an electric mixer until smooth.
