Ricotta Torte

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 40 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 sweet tart pastry dough, plus enough for lattice top (see mean chef's sweet tart dough)
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon orange liqueur
  • 1/4 cup almonds, chopped
  • 1 3/4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, grated
  • 1 3/4 ounces chocolate, grated
  • 1 orange, zest of, grated
  • egg yolk, wash

Recipe

  • 1 mix ricotta, eggs, sugar and liquer.
  • 2 add almonds, chocolate and zest.
  • 3 pour into unbaked tart shell.
  • 4 make lattice top.
  • 5 brush with egg wash.
  • 6 bake at 375 for about 30 minutes.
