Sheila's Tourtiere

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground lamb
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 medium boiled potatoes, mashed
  • pastry for double-crust pie

Recipe

  • 1 place all ingredients except potatoes in pot and cook gently app.
  • 2 25 minute or until liquid is reduced to half.
  • 3 add mashed potatoes and mix well.
  • 4 prepare pie and bake at 450 degrees for 10 minute.
  • 5 reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake 30-40 minute or until pie crust is cooked.
