Lattice Cherry Pie

Ingredients

• 5 cups sour pitted cherries
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 1/4 cup flour
• 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1 tablespoon butter
• 1 egg, beaten with a fork
• 1 pastry crust

Recipe

• 1 drain cherries.
• 2 carefully mix cherries with next four ingredients.
• 3 pour into a 9" pastry lined pie plate.
• 4 dot with butter.
• 5 roll top crust and cut in strips.
• 6 weave strips on top of pie.
• 7 flute edges.
• 8 brush top with some of the egg.
• 9 bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes.
