Onion Quiche With French Fried Onions

Total Time: 1 hr 27 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 12 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 9-inch deep dish pie crust
  • 1 1/2 cups swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1 (3 ounce) can french-fried onions
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • salt
  • pepper
  • paprika (garnish)

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven 400f degrees.
  • 2 thaw pastry shell for 10 minutes at room temp (do not prick the shell).
  • 3 bake shell for 7 minutes.
  • 4 reduce oven temp to 375f degrees.
  • 5 sprinkle the cheese and 1 1/3 cup onions into the shell.
  • 6 combine eggs, milk, salt& pepper.
  • 7 whisk until mixed well but not frothy.
  • 8 pour over the cheese& onions.
  • 9 sprinkle with paprika.
  • 10 bake 45 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • 11 let stand for 10 minutes.
  • 12 top with the remaining onions& serve.
