Heritage Cider Pie

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
  • 1 (12 ounce) can frozen apple juice concentrate, thawed
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • ground nutmeg

Recipe

  • 1 bake unpricked pastry shell at 450°f for 5 minutes. remove from oven; reduce oven temperature to 350°f meanwhile, beat together apple concentrate, eggs, sugar, butter, and salt. pour into pastry shell. sprinkle with nutmeg. bake at 350°f till knife inserted just off center comes out clean, 35 to 40 minutes.
