Fresh Rhubarb Pie

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 4 cups chopped rhubarb
  • 1 1/3 cups sugar
  • 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 (9 inch) pastry for double-crust pie

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 450 degrees f.
  • 2 combine sugar and flour.
  • 3 sprinkle 1/4 of it over pastry in pie plate. heap rhubarb over this mixture.
  • 4 sprinkle with remaining sugar and flour.
  • 5 dot with small pieces of butter. cover with top crust.
  • 6 place pie on lowest rack in oven.
  • 7 bake for 15 minutes.
  • 8 reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees f, and continue baking for 40 to 45 minutes.
