Grandpas Delicious Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup butter (soft but not melted)
• 1/2 cup powdered sugar
• 1 cup sifted flour
• 1 teaspoon vanilla or 1 teaspoon artificial vanilla flavoring
• colored sugar sprinkle

Recipe

• 1 preheat oven to 400°f.
• 2 combine ingredients with pastry blender.
• 3 shape into a ball with your hands.
• 4 roll about 1/4 inch thick on floured canvas or cutting board.
• 5 cut with 3 inch cookie cutter.
• 6 repeat steps 3 - 5 with remaining dough.
• 7 bake at 400f for about 10 minutes, depending on the size of cookies.
• 8 note: cookies may be cut with fancy cookie cutters and decorated with colored sugars before baking.
