Orange Pastry

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • 3 cups sifted flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 6 -8 tablespoons orange juice

Recipe

  • 1 sift together flour and salt.
  • 2 cut in shortening until mixture resembles cornmeal.
  • 3 add orange juice, a small amount at a time, tossing lightly with a fork until dough is moist enough to hold together.
  • 4 shape into ball and roll out or refrigerate.
  • 5 pastry will keep wrapped up in the fridge for several days.
