Pigs In A Blanket

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 20
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup lard
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • sausage, cooked and peeled

Recipe

  • 1 mix dry ingredients.
  • 2 cut in lard as for pastry.
  • 3 add milk and sour cream -- add more milk if mixture is too dry.
  • 4 roll out on floured board. cut peeled and cooked sausage lengthwise into desired size.
  • 5 place along the edge of the pastry and roll dough 1 1/2 times around sausage.
  • 6 seal edges of dough.
  • 7 continue until all the dough is used up.
  • 8 cut into 2 inch pieces.
  • 9 bake 400f til brown - 20 mins approx.
