Salmon & Orange Pinwheels

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 (200 g) can pink salmon (i use red)
  • 1 cup cheese, cheddar grated
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • salt & pepper
  • 4 shallots, chopped
  • 2 cups self raising flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 orange, juice of

Recipe

  • 1 drain salmon and flake; add cheese, shallots, zest, salt, pepper and mix together.
  • 2 pastry; sift together flour & salt, rub in butter and add enough liquid to form a soft dough.
  • 3 roll to a 12 1/2" x 6" rectangle, spread with salmon mixture.
  • 4 roll up long side and cut into 1 1/2" slices and arrange cut side up in 2 greased tins.
  • 5 brush with melted butter and bake at 200degc (400degf) for 20 minutes - cook straight after preparation.
