Garden Vegetable Appetizers

Ingredients

- 12 ounces pie crust mix (1 package)
- 1 ounce ranch dressing mix
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 cup water, plus
- 1 tablespoon water
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 cups chopped vegetables
- 3 medium green onions, thinly sliced (1/3 cup)
- 6 slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled
Recipe
- 1 heat oven to 400º.
- 2 stir pie crust mix, 2 teaspoons of the dressing mix (dry), the baking soda and water until pastry forms a ball.
- 3 press mixture evenly in bottom of ungreased jelly roll pan, 15 1/2 × 10 1/2 × 1 inch, with floured hands.
- 4 bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown; cool completely.
- 5 beat cream cheese, sour cream and remaining dressing mix with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth.
- 6 spread evenly over pastry. sprinkle evenly with vegetables, onions and bacon.
- 7 cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours but no longer than 24 hours.
- 8 cut into 3-inch squares. cut each square diagonally in half to make triangles.
