Garden Vegetable Appetizers

Total Time: 23 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 8 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 30
  • 12 ounces pie crust mix (1 package)
  • 1 ounce ranch dressing mix
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup water, plus
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups chopped vegetables
  • 3 medium green onions, thinly sliced (1/3 cup)
  • 6 slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 400º.
  • 2 stir pie crust mix, 2 teaspoons of the dressing mix (dry), the baking soda and water until pastry forms a ball.
  • 3 press mixture evenly in bottom of ungreased jelly roll pan, 15 1/2 × 10 1/2 × 1 inch, with floured hands.
  • 4 bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown; cool completely.
  • 5 beat cream cheese, sour cream and remaining dressing mix with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth.
  • 6 spread evenly over pastry. sprinkle evenly with vegetables, onions and bacon.
  • 7 cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours but no longer than 24 hours.
  • 8 cut into 3-inch squares. cut each square diagonally in half to make triangles.
