Grandma Chics Raisin Pie Filling 1968

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups raisins
  • 2 cups water
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Recipe

  • 1 combine raisins and water and cook over medium heat for 12 minutes.
  • 2 add sugar, flour, butter and cook two minutes more.
  • 3 pour cooled mixture into a pastry shell.
  • 4 place a top crust over top and make vent slashes.
  • 5 bake 375 degrees f for 30 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
  • 6 note: rind and juice of 1/2 a fresh lemon or orange may be added.
