Pastry Cheese Ball

Total Time: 3 hrs 20 mins Preparation Time: 3 hrs Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 pepperidge farms patty shells
  • 7 ounces gouda cheese, in a ball
  • 1 egg, beaten

Recipe

  • 1 thaw patty shells and roll into an 8-inch circle.
  • 2 remove the wax coating on the cheese; cover the cheese with the pastry and seal the edges well.
  • 3 refrigerate for several hours.
  • 4 glaze with the beaten egg.
  • 5 bake at 400°f for 10 minutes, then reduce to 350°f and bake for 10 minutes more.
  • 6 remove from oven and let stand for 30 minutes.
  • 7 serve with crackers.
