Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 2/3 cup milk
Recipe
- 1 stir together first 3 ingredients in a medium bowl.
- 2 cut shortening into flour mixture with a pastry blender until mixture is crumbly.
- 3 add milk, stirring with a fork until dry ingredients are moistened and mixture forms a soft ball.
- 4 turn dough out onto a floured surface, and knead 6 to 8 times.
