Oatmeal Pie

Total Time: 1 hr 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 pastry for a double-crust 9-inch pie
  • 1 1/4 cups corn syrup
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 prepare pie shells.
  • 2 in a medium bowl combine corn syrup, sugar and melted butter.
  • 3 in a second bowl, whisk together eggs, vanilla, and salt.
  • 4 add to corn syrup mixture. stir in oats.
  • 5 pour mixture into pastry shell.
  • 6 bake in a 350 f oven for 65-75 mins or until dark brown.
  • 7 server warm or at room temperature.
  • 8 great with whipped cream.
