Simple Baked Brie In Puff Pastry

Ingredients

- 8 ounces brie round
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed about 15-20 minutes
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/4 cup walnuts (or if you prefer you may use pecans)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 pinch cinnamon
- 2 eggs, beaten
- kitchen twine
Recipe
- 1 slice only top rind off brie.
- 2 roll thawed puff pastry out to get rid of seams and to increase the size by 1 to 2 inches.
- 3 brush both sides of pastry with the beaten egg, then place it on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- 4 place brie in center of pastry.
- 5 melt butter in saucepan and saute walnuts for 5 minutes.
- 6 spread butter and walnut mixture on top of brie.
- 7 sprinkle brown sugarand pinch of cinnamon on top of butter-walnut mixture.
- 8 bring puff pastry together on top of the brie and twist to form a "bundle" on top. tie with the kitchen twine. (tie the twine in a bow.).
- 9 bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
- 10 serve with top quality crackers.
