Simple Baked Brie In Puff Pastry

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 8 ounces brie round
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed about 15-20 minutes
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup walnuts (or if you prefer you may use pecans)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • kitchen twine

Recipe

  • 1 slice only top rind off brie.
  • 2 roll thawed puff pastry out to get rid of seams and to increase the size by 1 to 2 inches.
  • 3 brush both sides of pastry with the beaten egg, then place it on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • 4 place brie in center of pastry.
  • 5 melt butter in saucepan and saute walnuts for 5 minutes.
  • 6 spread butter and walnut mixture on top of brie.
  • 7 sprinkle brown sugarand pinch of cinnamon on top of butter-walnut mixture.
  • 8 bring puff pastry together on top of the brie and twist to form a "bundle" on top. tie with the kitchen twine. (tie the twine in a bow.).
  • 9 bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
  • 10 serve with top quality crackers.
